Grow into the Leader
You've Always
Wanted to Be

A live, 12-month leadership development experience that gives you practical tools, real support, and a community of peers to help you lead with clarity and confidence.

Why this program exists

Leadership Gets Easier with Guidance and Practice

Leadership is not built in a single workshop. It is built through insight, reflection, and real-world application.

BetterCulture’s Virtual Leadership Academy was designed to help leaders:

  • Develop a clear “mindset” for leadership

  • Stay focused on the behaviors that matter most

  • Reinforce habits that shape culture and results

This is leadership development designed for how work actually happens.

Over this 2-day, in-person event we’ll cover:

What You Will Gain as a Leader

Clarity, Confidence, and Consistency in How You Lead

Over 12 months, this experience strengthens how you think, decide, and show up as a leader. You will lead with greater clarity under pressure, approach difficult conversations with confidence, and build habits that reinforce trust, accountability, and performance. This is not about collecting leadership concepts. It is about becoming the kind of leader others want to follow.

Monthly Live Leadership Sessions Focus On The Following Topics:

Instilling Pride

Turn ordinary jobs into meaningful work. Learn how to ignite ownership, commitment, and a deep sense of pride in the people you lead.

Appreciation and Recognition

Stop losing great people to silence. Discover simple, powerful ways to recognize performance and make your team feel genuinely valued.

Building Stars

Average teams don’t win. Learn how to coach, challenge, and develop your people into confident, high-performing standouts.

Dealing with Problem Employees

Stop avoiding hard conversations. Address performance and attitude issues directly, confidently, and in a way that actually drives change.

Not Sucking at Communication

Clarity beats charisma. Master the practical communication skills that eliminate confusion, build trust, and get results.

Making Better Decisions

Good intentions aren’t enough. Strengthen your judgment, avoid common decision traps, and make smarter calls under pressure.

Mastering Conflict

Conflict doesn’t have to be destructive. Learn how to turn tension into productive dialogue and stronger working relationships.

Making Work More Enjoyable

Engagement isn’t accidental. Create a culture where people actually enjoy showing up — and perform better because of it.

Building High-Performing Teams

Talent alone won’t cut it. Build alignment, trust, and momentum so your team consistently delivers exceptional results.

Setting and Achieving Goals

Wishful thinking doesn’t drive performance. Set clear, motivating goals and create the follow-through systems that turn plans into measurable wins.

How it works

Your 12-Month Rhythm

The Virtual Leadership Academy is a 12-month leadership development experience built around a clear monthly rhythm. Over the year, you will complete 10 core leadership modules, reinforced by live sessions, practical application, and community discussion to create real growth over time.

Monthly Live Leadership Sessions

Each month, you will participate in a live, 90-minute facilitated leadership session focused on a topic grounded in BetterCulture's Seven Principles of Leadership©. Sessions are practical, interactive, and focused on real leadership situations, with a clear emphasis on applying what you learn immediately.

Monthly Ask-Us-Anything Sessions

Leadership rarely fits neatly into a lesson plan. Each month includes a live 60-minute Ask-Us-Anything session where you can bring real challenges, ask direct questions, and get perspective from BetterCulture facilitators. These sessions help you think through real decisions, navigate people challenges with confidence, and learn from the experiences of others.

Community and Ongoing Resources

Leadership improves faster in community. Throughout the program, you will engage in a private peer community where leaders share insight, reflect on what they are learning, and reinforce new habits between sessions. You will also have access to session recordings and practical leadership tools to support continued application.

Each month, members participate in:

  • One live, instructor-led leadership course focused on a core MindSet Leadership topic
  • One optional Ask Us Anything session where BetterCulture consultants address real leadership questions from participants

When you join, you begin with the course being offered that month and continue month by month until you’ve completed all 10 core courses.

Your 12-month membership window allows you to complete the full curriculum while applying what you learn in real time.

Yes. The Virtual Leadership Academy is designed as an evergreen, start-anytime program.

There are no fixed start dates. When you enroll:

  • You begin with the course being offered that month
  • You continue through the rotating monthly courses until you complete all 10 core modules
  • Your 12-month access period begins on your enrollment date

Most participants complete all core courses within their 12-month membership while participating in live sessions and applying what they learn throughout the year.

The program includes 10 core MindSet Leadership courses, taught live throughout the year on a rotating schedule. Together, they form a clear, practical framework for leading people well.

Core course topics include:

  • Instilling Pride
  • Appreciation & Recognition
  • Building Stars (Developing High Performers)
  • Dealing with Problem Employees
  • Not Sucking at Communication
  • Making Better Decisions
  • Mastering Conflict
  • Making Work Enjoyable
  • Building High-Performing Teams
  • Setting and Achieving Goals

All members begin with a short pre-recorded onboarding experience that introduces the MindSet Leadership framework and explains how the program works.

Most members spend 2–3 hours per month in the program.

This typically includes:

  • attending (or watching) one monthly course
  • optional participation in the Ask Us Anything session
  • completing a short quiz or reflection tied to the course

The quizzes and reflections are intentionally lightweight. They provide reinforcement and learning accountability without being time-consuming or burdensome.

  • Live course sessions typically run 60–90 minutes
  • Ask Us Anything sessions typically run 60 minutes

Courses are generally offered once per month, though in some months an additional live session may be scheduled.

All session dates and times are shared in advance inside the community.

All live course sessions are recorded and added to a growing course library.

If you miss a live session, you can:

  • watch the recording at your convenience
  • complete the associated quiz or reflection
  • stay fully on track within your 12-month program window

Live attendance is encouraged, but not required.

No. Ask Us Anything sessions are optional. They are designed to give participants space to:

  • ask real questions
  • explore current leadership challenges
  • apply the MindSet Leadership framework in real time

Many members find them highly valuable, but participation is not required for program completion.

Both.

The program is especially valuable for:

  • new or emerging leaders learning how to lead people
  • experienced leaders who want to strengthen how they think, communicate, and lead

Because the focus is on leadership mindset and behavior, the content remains relevant across experience levels.

The Virtual Leadership Academy is not cohort-based.

It runs on a rolling schedule:

  • leaders join at different times
  • everyone participates in the same monthly live courses
  • each member completes the program over their own 12-month timeline

This provides flexibility while preserving a shared learning experience.

Yes.

Organizations may enroll as many leaders as they choose. All participants join the same virtual learning community and participate in the same live sessions.

There are no separate organizational cohorts or group discounts. This allows organizations to:

  • develop leaders consistently
  • build shared leadership language
  • benefit from diverse perspectives

Yes.

Participants earn a MindSet Leadership Program completion certification by:

  • completing all 10 core courses (live or recorded)
  • completing the associated quizzes or reflections

These elements provide a meaningful level of rigor while remaining realistic for working leaders.

If you do not complete the program within your first 12 months, you may extend your membership for an additional 12 months at $299.

This is the same rate offered to program alumni.

During an extension period, you:

  • remain part of the community
  • continue attending live courses
  • retain access to recordings
  • can complete remaining requirements and earn certification

After completing the program, participants are invited to remain members of the Alumni community.

Alumni membership includes:

  • continued access to live courses
  • optional participation in Ask Us Anything sessions
  • access to the full recorded course library
  • ongoing community engagement

Alumni membership is $299 per year.

Yes.

The program is designed so leaders can immediately apply what they’re learning — including language, frameworks, and practical approaches — directly with their teams.

Many participants report noticeable changes in how they lead within their first few months.
